We are licensed and fully insured to protect our clients and our communities.
MWA COMPLIANCE AND REGULATORY ADHERENCE STATEMENT
MWA specializes in biohazard/regulated waste removal services, incineration services, supplies, and compliance programs for the East Tennessee medical community and surrounding areas. For businesses that generate regulated medical waste, MWA services can reduce compliance risks through appropriate containers, labeling, and manifests; compliant disposal of medical waste; a complete chain of custody; and training programs in accordance with The Department of Transportation, the EPA, and OSHA Standards.
MWA is permitted to operate as a medical waste Transfer Station through the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Division of Solid Waste Management (TRF-47-1441). The waste product is transferred from our site to a disposal facility in Virginia.
As a transfer station, MWA is regulated by the Department of Transportation, the EPA, and OSHA. Our internal processes, documentation, containers, and supplies all meet with each of these departments’ stringent rules and regulations. Regulated medical waste will be processed in one of two different ways, depending on the waste stream. Waste will either be autoclaved through a high-pressure steam system or incinerated. After the processing is complete the treated material is landfilled through the waste management facility in Virginia. Medical waste is a highly regulated industry. MWA takes compliance seriously and we know it is important to you too. In addition to being licensed and permitted properly, MWA is also highly insured to not only protect our environment but to also protect our Customers. You can feel confident that MWA will dispose of your medical waste safely and in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
